My brother is the person who introduced me to marijuana for the first time.
He and his friends were smoking in the woods behind our house and they decided to let me try a single hit off the pipe if I promised to keep my mouth shut.
I still remember how I felt picking up the pipe and lifting it to my lips, not sure what was about to happen to my mind in the process. It was an amazing experience, and I wanted to try it again soon thereafter. By the time I reached college, I was using cannabis weekly. After I finished college, I had become a daily user of marijuana. During this time my brother moved out west to work for the cannabis industry. He started as a bud trimmer and slowly worked his way up the ladder to become a marijuana grower. But it was concentrate creation that he was the most interested in, because he was always an avid fan of hashish. Although he is no longer working for a cannabis company, my brother still makes his own artisan hashish from bulk cannabis flower buds that he gets from select dispensaries when they’re running sales on quality batches. As the saying goes, “quality in, quality out.” You’re not going to make great hashish with inferior cannabis. I don’t know if I could buy hashish from a cannabis dispensary now that I have had my brother’s hash. He’ll make particularly flavorful batches of hash from flower buds if the terpene percentage is higher than 3%. It’s hard because some of the cannabis dispensaries in our state have consistently inconsistent products and one week they’ll be good while another week they won’t be.
