I heard the dispensary might be hiring

I’ve been working at the grocery store for the past three years.

I got that job when I was in high school and I continued working there after school was over.

I was supposed to go to college, but the coronavirus stopped my future dead in its tracks. My friends and I had to come back from school. I tried online classes, but they weren’t for me. I’m not very good at long-distance learning. I dropped out of school and started working at the grocery store full-time. I was working 50 or 60 hours every week. My boss was talking to me about a promotion. I knew that meant a future at the grocery store. I wasn’t going to leave. When my friend told me that the dispensary might be hiring, I immediately started working on my resume. I really wanted a job at the dispensary, but they haven’t been hiring. They started with a crew when the marijuana dispensary opened and this is the first time they might have an opening since then. I was beyond excited when I found out. I worked on my resume every afternoon for 3 days. When it was finally perfect, I applied for a job with the dispensary. I called me an hour after I turned in an application with my resume. She was impressed that I had been with the same job for such a long time and wanted to schedule me for an interview the next day. I’m so glad that I took the time to make sure my resume looked good before I contacted the dispensary for a job.
