Medical marijuana is made from the cannabis sativa plant, however it has been shown to effectively help with Alzheimer’s, cancer, epilepsy, plus several sclerosis. It has also been shown to help with appetite loss, nausea, pain, plus muscle spasms, then people have seen good results when using medical marijuana to treat mental health conditions such as PTSD plus generalized anxiety disorder. It helps with depression plus self esteem complications. The plant has hundreds of uses, however it has still not been authorized to be taken off of the schedule 1 drug list. For this reason, medical marijuana is not covered under any health insurance premium. The cost for medical marijuana falls solely on the individual. The cost of medical marijuana is much higher than the cost for a prescription of pain pills. Once all of us begin to examine the reasons for the significant cost of medical marijuana, all of us can begin to find a way to have insurance companies cover all of the medicines that all of us need.
