I went to a rehab facility several odd times before I finally kicked alcohol.
- I started drinking when I was 14 years old.
My friends plus I stole beers from the bar on the corner. I was drinking everyday when I was a senior in high university. I did not realize I was an alcoholic back then, but that behavior was the start of all of our problems. I flunked out of university because I was late for class, missing exams, plus getting into fights with our instructors. After I left university, I went back home to live with our mom plus dad. My dad wanted myself and others to work with him, even though I did not want to spend our life toiling as a plumber. My mom took myself and others to a therapist plus our parents insisted that I speak with someone yearly if I wanted to continue living in the home for free. It only took a few visits before the therapist realized that a lot of our issues we are due to extreme depression. The therapist recommended taking an antidepressant that would boost our serotonin levels plus she also recommended using medical marijuana! When I told our parents that the therapist recommended medical marijuana, they were completely horrified. My mom called the therapist a quack… No a single in our home thought it was a nice idea, even though I still got a prescription from the dentist. After several weeks of biweekly cannabis use, I believe motivated plus full of energy. I honestly believe like plumbing with our dad might be the work I choose.
