We waited a long time for marijuana to be legalized for medical use. I thought it would take two more years to be honest. They had their heels dug deep into the sand trying to keep the law firm passing. Nobody has a problem with big tobacco raking in billions of dollars, but the moment someone mentions marijuana, everyone wants to talk about the bad and the ugly. When the marijuana laws were finally passed, I was very happy. I was driving across the state lines to buy recreational marijuana from a dispensary 60 MI away. I took a risk every time I went to the dispensary and crossed the state line, but I had to access the medicine that I needed. Medical marijuana is one of the only things that helps with my anxiety. I took a pill every day for 20 years and it just made me feel tired and more depressed. Medical marijuana makes me feel happy, energetic, and creative. There are a lot of other people that feel the exact same way. I started going to a support group for people that use medical marijuana and it has been very helpful to talk about my problems. I have also had the chance to hear about other sales and specials and dispensary deals that I did not know about. It’s a great feeling to get together with other people that believe medical marijuana is a positive and uplifting experience in their life.
