I have been hounding my boss for a while, because I want him to give me an opportunity as a delivery driver at the medical and recreational marijuana shop, but I was hired to work inside of the shop, although I feel that the drivers make a lot more money than I do.
- I asked my boss a couple of weeks ago if he could put me on one of the shifts for delivery, and he told me that all of the drivers have to get their hours, so it wasn’t going to be simple for him to put me on the schedule.
I understood exactly what he meant, because the drivers need to be able to get their hours just like almost everyone else. I was supposed to have the last Sunday evening off and my husband and I were going to go to dinner and the movies. I haven’t had a Sunday evening off in a long time, so my husband was super happy for the two of us to go out. My boss called me at 6:00 and he asked if I wanted to take up a shift as a delivery driver. He told me this was my option to get a shift and show him what I could do. My husband begged me not to take the shift at the marijuana dispensary, however this was my only opportunity to prove that I was harsh when I said I wanted to work as a driver and not inside of the dispensary. My husband still refuses to take my calls and it’s been a month since I took the shift.
