For thirty years I was a long haul truck driver, usually with nobody for company except my pet cat.
It’s not the life for everyone, but it was perfect for me.
I didn’t just drive and enjoy the open road, I also learned. I learned three different languages through audio tapes and programs. I listened to hundreds of audible books. I tried to enhance my mind while I was driving. I also smoked a lot of weed, and in my younger days took a lot of crank. That’s a drug for young people though, and since then I have only used cannabis. Well, last yearI retired from my job and sold my old truck. I used the money to buy an RV camper, so I could keep driving, learning, and smoking cannabis. I decided to make a Grand Tour out of it, and spend a few years visiting all of the places in the country best known for killer cannabis. I had a Top Ten List of the best locally grown cannabis strains, including Denver, Las Vegas, Seattle, Portland, and Philly, just to name a few. I didn’t want to just visit the major metropolitan areas, I wanted to find the small-town cannabis dispensaries that had exotic strains no one else carried. If I ever get a passport I will take my road trip to Canada, which I hear has the best cannabis in the entire world. Until then I will keep driving the back roads of the USA, with my trusty dog by my side and a fat joint of Purple Haze between my lips.
